AHOA Board Minutes

November 17, 2009

7:30 p.m. 2319 SE 30th St.

The Avondale Homeowners Board met at 7:30 p.m., November 17 at 2319 SE 30th St.

Those present were Todd Whitmarsh, Bonnie Vitale, Dave Otzel, Evelyn Smith, Berne Stalzer, and Gren Condon. A quorum was established.

The Secretary’s report was presented. A motion to accept by Todd and seconded by Bonnie was approved. The Treasurer’s report was presented. A motion to accept by Evelyn and seconded by Todd was presented.

Yard of the Month for November was awarded to the Amsden family at lot#18.

Bonnie stated that assistance was needed in placing a lien against the Blackman Property. Berne said he would do some research and find out where we are with it.

Dave Otzel said he will contact owners at Lot #18 regarding approval for paint color of their home. He also contacted owners of Lot #23 regarding storage of their boat in their driveway. The Board discussed ways to notify residents and future actions to be taken against all homeowners who violate Association by-laws. Any action taken needs to be in accordance with our by-laws. A letter is posted on our website regarding certain restrictions for homeowners.

Gren will talk with the Gangelhoffs and Mrs. Schlagel regarding island plantings.

Retention Ponds: Patrick’s Landscape and Lawn Care sent a bid for cutting, clearing and transporting all debris in both ponds to the designated location for pick up. Ken’s Bush Hogging will be asked to submit a bid for the same areas.

Todd and Gren will check out sprinklers and try and figure out why the plants have died.

The Voting Ballot was approved and will be mailed at the post office on Wednesday, November 18, with a copy of the proposed budget. Ballots will be counted at our annual meeting, on December 2, 7:30 p.m., 2009.
