The Avondale Homeowners Board met at 7:30 p.m. October 20, 2009
The Avondale Homeowners Board met at 7:30 p.m. October 20.
Present were: Gren Condon, Todd Whitmarsh, Berne Stalzer and Evelyn Smith. A quorum was established.
The secretary’s report was presented. A motion by Berne to accept and seconded by Todd was approved. Gren presented the treasurer’s report. A motion by Evelyn to accept, and seconded by Todd was approved.
Yard of the month for October was presented to the Barber residence.
Old Business:
Ken’s Bush Hogging was contacted to clear retention pond of milk trees and other debris from the Smith residence around to the Blinn residence. A price of $1600.00 was given. Gren has also ask Patrick’s Lawn Care for a price on the project. This work will not be done this year, but has been built into next year’s budget for completion.
Todd has called the Utility Company about the wobbly lamp post at the end of 23rd Avenue. He will follow up to make sure it is repaired.
The completion of the area in front of the Gangelhoff property has not been addressed. Gren will talk to Mrs. Schlagel and the Gangelhoffs about it.
The Cold Patch has not been purchased and tried to date.
The sprinkler system servicing the center island is not working properly and many of the new bushes have died. Gren and Todd will check it out.
New Business:
The proposed budget for 2010 put forth by the Finance Committee was reviewed and approved.
A letter asking the neighborhood to approve the budget and to vote on the new slate of Board members for 2010 will be prepared and sent out in November. Prior to the November 17 meeting the secretary will take a telephone poll of the Board for approval of the letter for mailing.
